Tech Data, a leading global IT distributor and solutions aggregator, announced today that Catherine Solazzo will join the company as the Senior Vice President of Marketing. As the head of Americas marketing she will oversee the creation of a new integrated center of excellence (COE) where digital and data-driven approaches will further strengthen the position of Tech Data as a leader in IT solution aggregation. Solazzo brings more than 16 years of experience in organizational transformation, digital marketing and platforms, agile practices and ecosystem programs.

Solazzo joins Tech Data from IBM where she served most recently as the vice president, worldwide partner ecosystem performance marketing where she oversaw marketing programs, communications, analytics, partner enablement, digital platforms and web experience. Her IBM tenure also includes leadership roles like chief of staff for the chief digital officer, vice president, worldwide developer programs and an overseas assignment leading Japan performance marketing.

Solazzo was recently been recognized among CRN’s Women of the Channel 2020 and 100 People You Don’t Know But Should lists. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Marist College.
