Storyblok, the modern content management system (CMS) for all teams, announced the appointment of Mark Wheeler as its CMO. Wheeler has extensive CMS industry experience, having worked as a Marketing Director at Adobe for seven years and as Marketing VP at Sitecore for nearly four years.

Most recently, Wheeler was the CMO at LeanIX. His leadership helped the company grow and achieve a successful exit to SAP. Wheeler’s repeated success led him to receive industry recognition as a Global B2B CMO 100 award winner in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Wheeler said: “The CMS industry has advanced significantly, yet it continues to struggle with empowering both developers and marketers to collaborate seamlessly from concept to completion. The market requires solutions that dismantle silos, optimize workflows, and accelerate the content lifecycle, making it more adaptable and ready for the era of generative AI.

“Storyblok is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this by offering a platform that empowers businesses to create, manage, and deliver content at unprecedented speed and scale. By focusing on these advantages, we can drive substantial revenue growth and market share.

“I’m ready to amplify these strengths by demonstrating how Storyblok empowers teams to achieve extraordinary things. By truly understanding the challenges content creators and developers face, we can position Storyblok as the go-to platform for building exceptional digital experiences.”

Dominik Angerer, CEO and Co-Founder of Storyblok, said: “Having experienced leaders who can help us navigate the opportunities and challenges of our next growth phase is critical to our success. Mark knows the CMS industry inside out and has already been on the part of the journey we’re about to embark on. His experience will help us properly educate the market on the transformative impact Storyblok has throughout the entire content lifecycle.”
