Society Pass (SoPa), SEA’s leading universal data-driven loyalty platform, is pleased to announce its successful acquisition of #HOTTAB, the prominent Vietnam-based e-commerce and POS solutions provider.
Dennis Nguyen, founder and Chairman of SoPa, states: “Acquiring #HOTTAB – an established presence in Vietnam’s e-commerce market – gives SoPa ownership of #HOTTAB’s existing merchant and consumer customer base. The acquisition expands SoPa’s footprint in Vietnam and augments its product offering for our Platform Partners, consumers, and merchants.”
Nguyen possesses over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and investment banker. He heads up a C-Suite comprised of industry leaders with decades of international experience in finance, operations, marketing, and technology.
As a result of the acquisition, SoPa and #HOTTAB’s merchant and consumer-facing apps are now rebranded as ‘#HOTTAB powered by SoPa’.
#HOTTAB founder Sanjeev Sapkota explains: “From the outset, #HOTTAB’s goal has been to empower merchants and consumers in the SME sector. The acquisition by SocietyPass not only furthers our mission but also positions ‘#HOTTAB powered by SoPa’ to scale exponentially.”
“I look forward to working with Dennis and his team to build the pre-eminent loyalty brand in Southeast Asia.”
Building on the synergy between the two companies, Sapkota and key members of the #HOTTAB team join SoPa’s management ranks, ensuring a smooth transition for #HOTTAB’s existing users.
The new ‘#HOTTAB powered by SoPa’ mobile apps and merchant interface are expected to launch by the end of the year.
