Rival Technologies, the leader in conversational research, announced the launch of its Multi-Agent AI Framework a modular, scalable system of AI Agents designed to enhance every stage of the research process.

“With our AI Framework, we offer clients flexibility,” said Andrew Reid, CEO and Founder of Rival Technologies. “They can opt-out of AI, use features selectively, or embrace full Agents all while keeping human expertise at the center.”

First AI Agent release focuses on unstructured data and real-world application

The first release in the framework is the Unstructured Data Agent, built to help insight teams make sense of qualitative feedback at scale. It combines some of Rival’s most advanced AI features:

  • Thoughtfulness Scoring, which evaluates depth, relevance, and quality of open-ended responses;
  • AI Probing, which generates contextual follow-up questions that deepen qualitative responses;
  • AI Summarization, which quickly distills large sets of open-text data into clear, actionable themes; and
  • Insight Reels, which turns open-ends and video recordings into stakeholder-ready video narratives.

Several of these AI capabilities are already adopted by companies like ŌURA, and together they empower researchers to extract richer, more contextual insights and transform them into deliverables that drive business impact.

Super Agent and the future of AI-Powered research

Looking ahead, future Agents including Planning & Development, Analysis, and Reporting & Knowledge will extend AI-powered support across the research lifecycle. Designed to work independently or together, each Agent will automate time-consuming tasks.

Researchers will also be able to adopt a “Super Agent,” an all-in-one agentic model capable of managing the full end-to-end research process. Human oversight will remain essential, ensuring researchers review, guide, and refine AI outputs.

“This is not about automation for automation’s sake,” said Jennifer Reid, Co-CEO and Chief Methodologist of Rival Group, parent company of Rival Technologies and Reach3 Insights. “We’re giving researchers superpowers more time for strategic thinking, more confidence in their insights, and more compelling ways to deliver value to the business.”

Built-in safeguards for responsible AI use

Rival’s approach to AI is built on trust, transparency, and flexibility:

  • Human in the loop: Researchers remain in control, reviewing and refining AI-generated insights
  • Opt-in by design: Customers can choose which tools and workflows to adopt
  • Enterprise-grade standards: Data security, compliance, and governance are embedded by design

This approach allows teams to adopt AI at their own pace, while maintaining oversight and integrity in their research process.

Conversational research meets AI-driven insights

Rival’s mobile-first, conversational approach already drives higher engagement and richer feedback by meeting people where they are, including SMS, mobile, email, social media and more. Through the integration of AI, the company aims to make those insights faster, smarter, and more actionable.
