Walker Sands, an integrated marketing agency focused on accelerating the growth of B2B brands, was ranked No. 30 on the Crain’s Fast 50 list for achieving 318.7% growth over the past five years.
The Crain’s Fast 50 list recognizes Chicago businesses that are emerging as the region’s front-runners. This award places Walker Sands alongside other Chicagoland innovators such as AGB Innovative Security Solutions, Edge Logistics, Zebra Technologies, and more. Walker Sands has been headquartered in Chicago since its inception in 2001 and has made itself a part of the bustling tech ecosystem ever since.
Walker Sands has grown exponentially over the past five years, expanding offerings in public relations, demand generation, branding, creative, marketing strategy and web — all while increasing revenue and more than doubling employee count.
The past year, in particular, marked a significant growth year for Walker Sands. The agency saw a 34% growth in revenue, expanded its Chicago office space, developed a new Seattle office to accommodate its West Coast expansion, underwent a company rebrand, and surpassed 125 employees.

To be considered for Crain’s Fast 50, companies need to be at least five years old, headquartered in the Chicago area, and they must have had at least $15 million in revenue in 2019. Crain’s Fast 50 compares companies’ revenues over a five-year growth period to gauge which 50 industries are growing continuously, and which companies within those industries are leading the charge.
