Phone2Action, the leading public affairs and government relations technology platform, is pleased to announce that Steve Liebman will join its leadership team as Senior Vice President for Sales and Sherrie Mersdorf will join as Senior Vice President of Marketing.
“Phone2Action gives government affairs teams the edge they need to achieve their policy outcomes,” CEO Steven Schneider said. “As we continue to support GR professionals, the deep experience that Steve and Sherrie have producing results in highly competitive environments will play a major role in amplifying the Phone2Action story and continuing our growth. I’m thrilled to have them on board.”
Liebman brings more than 30 years of sales experience, holding major leadership positions at companies like Bloomberg Industry Group, Thomson Reuters and Thomson Tax & Accounting. Mersdorf comes to the role with almost two decades of business-to-business marketing experience, including leadership roles at leading SaaS companies like Healthgrades, Evariant and Cvent.
“I’ve spent my career helping people find the right solutions to solve their problems and achieve their goals,” Liebman said. “I’m eager to show GR professionals in very real terms how the combination of intelligence and advocacy in Phone2Action’s leading platform helps them know more so they can act quickly and decisively to win more often.”
While the pandemic disrupted many industries, Phone2Action powered an advocacy boom in the last 18 months as companies, associations, nonprofits and ordinary Americans appealed to government officials for help. In the first weeks of the pandemic, 52,000 people took action on the Phone2Action platform every day—roughly 36 people every minute.
This year, organizations created more than 6,000 campaigns on the Phone2Action platform during the first 100 days of the new administration. More than 4.1 million advocates took roughly 10.3 million actions—more activity than was generated in the weeks surrounding last year’s election.
“Policy affects every part of our lives,” Mersdorf said. “Phone2Action is a transformative force when it comes to connecting people and driving policy outcomes at all levels of government. That is the very essence of democracy. The company’s growth is a reflection of the vital role it plays—and I think this is only the beginning. I’m excited to be a part of it.”
