mPulse, a leading provider of Health Experience and Insights technology, announced strong year-over-year revenue and annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth across all segments of its business. The company’s growth is accompanied by mPulse’s formal and well recognized establishment of a new technology category in digital health: Health Experience and Insights.
Building on a series of acquisitions and organic innovation over the past 4 years, mPulse has brought together a unique combination of technologies that define a new category in digital health today. The company has combined health portals, predictive analytics and omnichannel engagement capabilities into Health Experience and Insights (HXI). HXI supports a variety of population needs, enterprise digital strategies and performance goals. It puts rich consumer insights at the forefront so that AI analytics can power the advanced personalization needed to optimize every step of the consumer health journey. The industry need for HXI, and mPulse’s efforts to realize its potential, are articulated on the company’s newly refreshed website.
“Point solution fatigue is a very real issue plaguing the healthcare ecosystem,” said Bob Farrell, CEO of mPulse. “Our approach to health engagement is bringing something never seen before into the industry, establishing a new category in digital health. Every consumer expects a personalized experience and we are creating the technology to deliver seamless consumer experiences across outreach and self-service touchpoints all powered by advanced analytics. Our composable data and engagement products allow health plans to optimize how they engage their populations to drive performance and provide a seamless consumer health experience.”
mPulse’s HXI products establish a connected digital experience data layer that centralizes and standardizes experiential, demographic, health status and predictive risk data. Prioritizing consumer-focused data augments mPulse’s Decision Point Predictive Analytics and establishes a foundation for advanced digital engagement strategies.
“Health plans know they must deliver more consumer-centric experiences to remain competitive, but many operate using siloed data and legacy technology systems which does not allow them to adapt to the wide-ranging needs people have or provide a view of how consumers are navigating their health journey,” said Mark Emkjer former Chief Executive Officer, WebMD Health Services. “mPulse’s health insights and experience capabilities are unique in the market and create a powerful ecosystem where centralized consumer insights and integrated digital experiences provide a foundation for advanced enterprise engagement strategies.”
“Advanced engagement capabilities need a robust underlying data system to power them,” said Sanjeev Sawai, Chief Technology Officer at mPulse. “We’re concentrating innovation efforts in an industry-first move to connect health portals, predictive analytics and omnichannel engagement. When health plans leverage this HXI ecosystem, they gain the ability to deploy advanced AI and machine learning-powered engagement strategies to deliver a fully automated, orchestrated personalized digital experience.”
New Platform Functionality: Decision Point Insights Measures
mPulse also announced the launch of Measures, a new functionality in its Decision Point Insights product which is part of the HXI ecosystem. Measures enables health organizations to visualize plan performance across key quality measures including NCQA HEDIS®, Medicare Star, as well as CAHPS® and HOS. These elements can be configured to break down measure performance across key stratifications such as a Health Equity Index, socio-economic status, race and language.
“Optimizing plan performance requires organizations to have the right data elements at a glance if they want to derive insights in a quick and efficient way,” said Saeed Aminzadeh, CPO of mPulse. “Measures offers clients the ability to take control of their data and track their population’s performance against their measure goals. Health plans can identify where they may want to spend their time and energy to improve member outcomes in a meaningful way.”
Through leveraging its advanced engagement capabilities, mPulse continues to support leading health organizations and plans to deliver better performance across key digital programs:
- A leading health plan supporting Medicare Advantage and DSNP populations integrated predictive modeling and proactive outreach to impact Health Outcomes Survey Star Ratings. The plan achieved a 12-15% improvement using pre-and-post status surveys which contributed to a 1 star improvement across the 3 HOS measures.
- A large non-profit health plan leveraged predictive analytics to impact HEDIS performance across Medicare, Medicaid and Exchange lines of businesses. Targeting outreach based off predicted member behaviors achieved a 23% increase in care gap closure for members receiving outreach compared to members who did not receive outreach. Targeted members included those who had no prior year PCP visit and those with reported access barriers.
