Madhive, the leading technology company for local connected television (CTV) advertising, today announced the expansion of its leadership to drive the company’s next phase of enterprise growth. The two strategic hires include Brendan Murnane as SVP & GM of Enterprise Partnerships and Christiana Cacciapuoti as VP of Enterprise Strategy & Solutions.
In his role, Murnane will oversee strategy and execution to drive the next phase of growth with Madhive’s local media partners. Murnane most recently served as SVP of Local Digital Ad Sales at Paramount, where he led a team of 30-plus people and consistently grew revenue by 35% year-over-year. Murnane also led strategy and operations for Paramount digital ad sales, the programmatic direct sales team and led the initial launch of Paramount Ads Manager, the company’s self-service platform. Prior to Paramount, Murnane was VP at MediaLink where he drove go-to-market strategies, strategic partnerships and business transformation planning. He previously held roles at AOL and Deloitte.
“As viewers increasingly turn to streaming, TV advertising is evolving with a stronger focus on local engagement—empowering small businesses to connect with their communities and enabling national brands to achieve greater efficiency in their media buys,” said Murnane. “Madhive has already established itself as a leader in local CTV advertising, and I’m excited to help further strengthen that position.”
Cacciapuoti was one of the first employees at Madhive, where she drove the go-to-market strategy and managed external communications. After playing an integral role in Madhive’s meteoric rise, she served as SVP of Strategy at HyphaMetrics, a next-generation panel-based measurement company, where she led the sales and marketing teams. Before that, she led AdLedger, the nonprofit organization that built patented open source standards for blockchain and cryptography in media. She most recently served as a fractional CMO for several innovative companies in the adtech and B2B SaaS industries.
“Madhive is already trusted by the biggest players in local, such as FOX, Scripps and Hearst,” said Cacciapuoti. “But now, the company is in a position to help clients extend CTV-first campaigns to additional channels such as search, online video, display, audio, out-of-home, and social, and really deliver on the promise of performance.”
This announcement comes on the heels of Madhive’s acquisition of local omnichannel advertising platform Frequence, as well as their $300 million investment from Private Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives in June 2023. Together, Murnane and Cacciapuoti will work to help existing clients capitalize on omnichannel and incremental revenue opportunities of the joint platform.
“Local media and advertising are transforming, growing, and becoming more complex,” said Jim Wilson, President of Madhive. “We’re thrilled to welcome two proven leaders who have been instrumental in building local sales and solutions businesses. Brendan played a key leadership role in building Paramount’s local business, successfully navigating rapidly changing market dynamics. Meanwhile, Christiana, an original member of the Madhive team, has been essential in onboarding numerous enterprise clients, bringing a unique skill set across product, client service, solutions, and marketing. Together, they will drive additional value and revenue opportunities for our clients.”
