SOCi, Inc., the leading platform for social media and reputation management for multi-location businesses, has appointed two new Regional Vice Presidents of Sales: Tara Thomas and Skip Vish. Both have deep enterprise backgrounds and will be responsible for SOCi’s east and central regions, respectively.
- Based in Charlotte, Thomas will oversee SOCi’s east region and joins the company with nearly 20 years in digital and localized social marketing. She has held various leadership roles in sales and strategy, and built her career on the agency side (TMP Directional Marketing) and SaaS company Reputation.com (formerly SIM Partners). Before joining SOCi, Thomas held sales executive positions at marketing agency BlueSoHo (Quad) and customer engagement provider Spectrio.
- Vish will be based in Dallas with oversight of SOCi’s central region and brings with him over 20+ years of successful software leadership. Most recently, he was VP of Sales over several sales regions while at social media company Spredfast (now Khoros). Vish also served in many leadership positions at Electronic Design Automation company Mentor Graphics (A Siemens Business) including leadership of the Aerospace and Defense Sector for the company.
“We couldn’t ask for better sales leadership than Tara and Skip,” said Afif Khoury, CEO of SOCi. “Each has an incredible understanding of the localized social marketing landscape and will, no doubt, be assets as we seek to continue to grow SOCi and help multi-location businesses thrive.”
SOCi’s latest state of the market report shows an increased focus on the area of localized social marketing by multi-location businesses. Marketers, specifically those in property management and franchise brand, are collectively strengthening their localized digital presence on sites like Google My Business and Facebook through their growing base of reviews, the response rate to critical reviews, and increasing the number of high-value engagements driven via these localized social pages. Now, SOCi says, is the time for marketers to understand the impact localized social marketing has on a brand’s digital visibility and brand trust, and focus on improving brand engagement and review response time (which continues to fall below consumer expectations).
“It’s exciting to watch brands get smarter about localized social marketing and platforms like Facebook, Google My Business, and even LinkedIn continue to improve their own local offerings to make it easier to connect where connection matters most,” added Monica Ho, SOCi’s CMO. “As more businesses and consumers continue to interact online, the opportunity for localized social marketing will only grow, and I’m confident Tara and Skip will help our customers navigate this new landscape with ease.”
SOCi continues to invest in expanding its offerings and services and has recently been honored by a number of institutions for its commitment and dedication to the localized social marketing industry. In addition to securing its position on the Inc. 5000 for the second year in a row–one of the few companies to maintain its position within the elite 500–SOCi was also named a Top Franchise Supplier for a second time by Entrepreneur Magazine.
