GroupBy and RetailWire to host new webinar

With Special Guest, RS, the Session Explores how GroupBy’s AI-first Solution is Transforming eCommerce Merchandising while Creating Extraordinary Digital Customer Experiences

GroupBy Inc., a SaaS-based eCommerce search and product discovery leader, announces its upcoming panel discussion, “Revolutionize eCommerce Search: AI Drives Future of Discovery & Merchandising.” The session, presented in partnership with RetailWire, will take place on Wednesday, May 29, at 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT.

Retailers worldwide are exploring AI technology to build resiliency, combat the impacts of this disruptive economic period, and drive higher revenues and operational efficiencies. During the webinar, GroupBy’s CEO Roland Gossage will join RetailWire’s BrainTrust member Scott Benedict, affiliate partner with the consulting firm of McMillanDoolittle, to discuss how retailers are leveraging GroupBy’s technology to radically transform their eCommerce merchandising while creating extraordinary digital experiences for their shoppers.

Gossage and Benedict will also be joined by Hannah Foley, VP of Digital Products & Platforms at RS. A global provider of B2B product and service solutions for designers, builders, and maintainers of industrial equipment and operations, RS is one of the largest distributors of industrial and electrical products in the world, with more than 750,000 products in its inventory. Foley will discuss RS’s recent switch to GroupBy’s AI-first eCommerce Search and Product Discovery platform powered by Google Cloud Vertex AI Search for Retail and the improvements it has seen in merchandiser productivity and overall metrics.

Key takeaways from the session will include:

  • Why AI search and product discovery play such a pivotal role for enterprise retailers with millions of online search queries a month
  • How AI is transforming traditional merchandising and helping customers have more accuracy and speed when shopping online
  • How legacy search solutions and rule-based merchandising prevent retailers from focusing on activities that really move the needle
  • Why adding more features has not solved the core problems of legacy search technology – and how AI-first technology is different

“There are many use cases for AI in eCommerce, but one of the most promising is search and product discovery due to its ability to deliver highly measurable results,” explains Gossage. “However, many eCommerce technology providers today are bolting modern AI solutions to 30-year-old legacy search tech, severely limiting its capabilities. AI-first technology is built on a next-gen search engine capable of fully leveraging all components of the AI-powered retail solution, allowing brands to achieve business objectives faster while keeping costs down. I’m excited to join Scott and Hannah to discuss how AI-first solutions tackle long-standing industry problems and generate 10 to 15% increases in revenue.”

GroupBy’s mission is to create the world’s most relevant and highly converting site experience, maximizing revenue through eCommerce channels, all while requiring less effort and cost to build and run. By leveraging the power of Google Cloud Vertex AI Search for Retail, GroupBy’s eCommerce Search and Product Discovery Platform can deliver relevant, buyable and personalized search results that are optimized for revenue every time while dramatically reducing the need for manual curation and tuning of search rules. This reduction improves productivity and efficiency, freeing up merchandising teams to work on higher-value business initiatives while still ensuring they have the business controls they require.
