Zipari, the company behind the first and only Consumer Experience Platform built specifically for health insurance, announced today the addition of Shawn Kearl as Chief Revenue Officer and Richard Juknavorian as Chief Product Officer. Their arrival rounds out an experienced and multi-dimensional C-suite: Kearl and Juknavorian follow closely the additions of Kerry Unflat as Chief People Officer, Matthew Crumley as Chief Financial Officer and Julie Coviello as Chief Customer Officer.
The five c-suite executives bolster Zipari’s executive leadership team—which includes Mark Nathan, Zipari’s Founder and CEO, and John Walsh, Chief Technology Officer—and further represents Zipari’s strategic growth investment from leading private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo and subsequent acquisition of HealthX. The investment, acquisition and additional c-suite members have facilitated Zipari’s ability to extend its leading CX platform and solutions for health insurance payers and third-party administrators of all sizes.
“Adding Shawn and Richard to our leadership team was an easy decision,” said Nathan. “For 20 years, Shawn has held sales and marketing leadership roles that focused on selling technology solutions and services to healthcare payers and providers. Shawn knows our industry intimately and his two decades of experience building high-performance sales teams will positively impact Zipari’s bottom line.”
“Richard’s experience in product management and strategy stems from years spent driving new and innovative commercial solutions to market for healthcare-related enterprises. We’re energized by Richard’s proven ability to set strategic product roadmaps, combine products into solution sets and launch go-to-market strategies and product adoption. With our own plans to launch new products and solutions coming in the near future, Richard’s addition couldn’t come at a better time.”
Through his sales and marketing leadership roles, Kearl has accumulated broad experience in software as a service (SaaS), business process outsourcing (BPO), business process as a service (BPaaS), data, digital marketing, advertising, and analytics. An energetic and strategic thinker, Kearl has strengthened business development teams that led to double-digit revenue growth, improved sales forecasting, developed new pricing models, participated in new product and solution development, and rolled-out sales incentive plans to motivate revenue generation.
“Zipari’s sustained growth makes this a particularly exciting time to join the company,” said Kearl. “Zipari is on a mission to drive better and better consumer experiences in healthcare, and I look forward to being a part of that journey.”
Juknavorian has an impressive track record in product management, product strategy and business development. He has led cohesive, enterprise-wide product strategy and organization, as well as activities associated with the end-to-end product lifecycle. Juknavorian’s experience includes executing strategic product roadmaps, maximizing and measuring productivity and output of product and engineering teams, driving and defining an organization’s growth strategy, and serving as a member of various leadership and executive cabinets.
“I’m thrilled to join a company like Zipari, with a suite of 20 plus products and a wide range of clientele,” said Juknavorian. “I’m eager to dig into Zipari’s offerings to see how we can innovate them to make an even greater difference for healthcare payers and their members.”
