Cloudinary, the image and video technology platform that powers many of the world’s top brands, has been named a Leader in the 2024 IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Intelligent Digital Asset Management (Doc #US51265723, July 2024).
IDC recognized Cloudinary for its streamlined asset workflows, advanced metadata management, and API-first, composable approach. IDC also noted that Cloudinary “excels in metadata management… with features like automatic alt-tag generation for accessibility, contextual metadata based on rules, and AI-powered search that can find similar assets even with limited existing metadata.”
“Cloudinary excels at post-production asset management, optimized delivery and bulk editing, making it a strong fit for brands prioritizing these capabilities,” said Marci Maddox, Research Vice President, Digital Experience Strategies, IDC. “Global businesses should consider Cloudinary when they have a very large volume of images and videos that need to be managed, iterated and transformed for various channels and are looking for strong automation and AI to do this at scale.”
“We are honored to be recognized as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for Intelligent DAM,” said Rob Daynes, Managing Director, Digital Asset Management, Cloudinary. “We launched the industry’s first API-first DAM in 2017, understanding that enterprises needed a modern approach to DAM for composable architectures – one that extended beyond traditional offerings for asset workflows and management. With the continued rise in visual asset volume and format types, ever-evolving customer touchpoints, and advancements in AI and GenAI, we’ll continue to push the bounds of what’s possible to deliver the intelligent DAM our customers need to unleash the full potential of their visual media.”
