Spotfire, a business unit of Cloud Software Group, provides powerful, self-service analytics for data-intensive businesses. Today, Spotfire announced The Analytics Forum (TAF), to be hosted virtually September 19-21. This long-running annual event provides attendees the opportunity to hear inspiring keynotes, learn from real-world success stories, and gain key insights on how to solve some of the biggest data challenges that companies face.
Today’s leaders are looking to make data-driven decisions that move the needle for their business, leading to this year’s theme: “Analytics for Insight and Action.” At TAF, attendees will learn how global business leaders and analytics power users make high-value, timely business decisions based on insights gleaned with Spotfire® offerings. The virtual event features AI and visual data science experts from Spotfire, as well as industry analytics leaders in manufacturing, healthcare, energy, CPG, finance, and transportation logistics, such as:
- Dr. Kee Yuan Ngiam, group chief technology officer, National University Health System (NUHS) — Dr. Ngiam oversees technology deployment in Singapore’s western healthcare cluster. During his session, Dr. Ngiam will discuss how the latest AI technologies help healthcare facilities enhance internal logistics and improve patient experiences and outcomes.
- Andrea Pica, head of Global HGT Remote Predictive Diagnostic Center, Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation; and Claudio La Grassa, predictive maintenance engineer, Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation — Andrea and Claudio are key members of Enel’s Remote Predictive Diagnostic Center team, which is responsible for driving innovation that supports monitoring and first-level diagnostics that help catch potential failures in power plants. In their session, they will discuss how the diagnostic center has used Spotfire software to develop a platform that monitors 56 gas turbines, ensuring the monitoring of phenomena and components critical to the proper operation of the GT over time.
- Barry Rowan, senior BI developer, Riteway Sales and Marketing — With extensive experience as an innovative business intelligence and analytics developer, Barry has, through Riteway’s Spotfire environment, developed dashboards for end user analytics for a variety of industry data. Barry will discuss how Riteway Sales and Marketing uses Spotfire applications to empower its clients, specifically manufacturers, to achieve results at retail outlets who sell a variety of food products and consumer packaged goods. The use of self-service analytics helps reach consumers in a highly targeted, relational way.

In addition to hearing from experts in their respective industries who are using Spotfire offerings to power their data-driven decisions, attendees will learn from Spotfire executives, such as O’Connell, Tobias Lehtipalo, and Patty Lambert; along with other innovative minds at Spotfire, such as Sweta Kotha, lead data scientist, and Arnaud Varin, senior product manager. Also, the ever-popular Spotfire Hackathon is back in a convenient, hands-on digital format for its third consecutive year. This year’s challenge will be “Mapping Food Deserts in the Houston Area.”
