Women’s Running, owned by Outside Interactive, Inc., the world’s leading creator of active & healthy lifestyle content, events, and experiences, has announced 360 YOU, a member-only program designed to empower female runners. The program will feature a different female pro athlete every three months, to highlight and share their training expertise, what ignites them as women, the pillars that guide their life journey, and what drives them to make change in the world.
“The goal of being part of this program is for each athlete to learn, train, and experience how to bring their authentic self to running as well as other aspects of their lives,” comments Melanie Mitchell, Brand Director of Women’s Running. “The 360 YOU program is so much more than running–it’s about how running empowers us to be the best versions of ourselves, physically and mentally.”
The first leg of the program will run through March 2022 and features Mary Cain, a world-class distance runner. Cain is perhaps best known for her bombshell revelations about emotional abuse in running, but she’s so much more: community manager at Tracksmith, coach for New York Road Runners, Atalanta NYC CEO. And now, she’s 360 YOU’s first pro mentor.
Cain will lead members through a 5K training plan and share exclusive content on training motivation, life lessons, and more. The program provides access to two training plans–one for beginners and one for more advanced runners. Members who join now are encouraged to participate in the training program of their choosing and prepare to run a 5K on International Women’s Day on March 8 to celebrate female empowerment.
“No matter what I do in sports at this point, I’ve done the big thing already,” said Mary Cain. “And that’s standing up for myself, that’s standing up for other people, and that’s trying to create change.”
Forthcoming athletes to be featured this year will be other leading females of the sport of running. Each quarter, Women’s Running will share member-only content inspired by the respective athlete, including unique training plans, video workout content, nutrition advice, Q&A’s, practical advice on juggling life’s responsibilities with running, motivational affirmations, and more.
