Why buy someone a gift when you can buy them a business? Shopify’s Exchange Marketplace is launching a Gift A Business event starting November 16th. Anyone can now purchase a pre-built Shopify store for their friends and family this holiday season.
“Every person who’s always dreamed of starting a business needed their first push. Maybe it’s a friend who believes in them or a parent who supports their dream. We’re launching Gift A Business to encourage friends and family of potential entrepreneurs to support a person’s desire to pursue something bigger than themselves,” explained Nicole Martins Ferreira, Exchange Marketplace’s marketing manager.
Holiday shoppers can find over 10,000 stores for sale on Exchange Marketplace in niches including: fashion, home, automotive, health and beauty, pets, and more. All gifters will receive a starter package that they can present to the giftee to help set them up for success. This package will include a business certificate, a printable holiday card, a subscription credit, and five e-books about entrepreneurship. The businesses range from between $50 to $250.
