Publishers Clearing House (PCH) Media, a leading provider of zero- and first-party data solutions, announced the appointment of Dave Matthews to the role of Chief Revenue Officer. With over 25 years of experience in sales and executive leadership and a proven track record of driving multi-million-dollar business growth, Matthews is tasked with leading PCH Media’s continued expansion.
Matthews joins the company at a critical time when marketers across industries are combatting signal loss and declining user engagement, requiring them to reevaluate their previous targeting strategies and refocus on building first-party data. As CRO, Matthews will oversee and elevate PCH Media’s sales and partnership strategies, continuing to drive unparalleled engagement via on-platform experiences for performance advertisers and accurate identity-led data solutions for brands, agencies, and tech partners. Matthews will report to Publishers Clearing House President and CEO, Andy Goldberg, and will be based in New York City.
“Consumers today are more aware of how brands are using their data, yet they are still looking for personalized advertising experiences,” said Goldberg. “Dave brings a unique combination of expertise in media, AdTech, and data that position him perfectly to help PCH Media address the challenges today’s marketers are facing. Additionally, his vast experience in developing growth strategies and strategic partnerships will propel PCH Media to the next level of success while helping brands engage with their audiences in a more meaningful way.”
“In recent years, commoditization has posed significant challenges for marketers seeking quality data,” said Matthews. “PCH Media is uniquely positioned to offer the marketplace a new holy grail: accurate first-party data from our highly-engaged, loyal audience that has opted-in to share their information and continually interacts with our brand. I’m excited to join PCH Media at this pivotal moment, as marketers strive to balance personalization and privacy, as well as efficiency and efficacy.”
As an industry veteran, Matthews has demonstrated strong leadership and mentorship skills, successfully attracting, recruiting, and guiding revenue-generating teams. He has a track record of establishing infrastructures that accelerate performance and grow valuation. Prior to joining PCH Media, Matthews served as CRO across multiple organizations, including Pixability, GumGum, inPowered AI, Five Tier, and more.
