Prismatic hires VP of Engineering to amplify developer focus

Prismatic

Prismatic, the most versatile and developer-friendly embedded iPaaS, has hired Tanner Burson as VP of Engineering. Burson’s 20 years of development and engineering leadership experience will support the continued scaling of Prismatic’s engineering teams and enhancement of its industry-leading embedded iPaaS.

Burson most recently served as Senior Director of Engineering at Salsify. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Engineering for Drizly, a marketplace and delivery platform acquired by Uber.

“I’ve spent much of my career working on SaaS products that rely heavily on integrations, so I’m excited for this opportunity to tackle integration challenges head-on,” said Burson. “What excites me about Prismatic is that we’re truly pushing innovation in the embedded iPaaS space by serving both devs and non-devs extremely well, and we’re solving the types of integration complexities where other offerings leave users empty-handed.”

In this role, Burson will continue to grow Prismatic’s engineering teams, including its SDK and Developer Experience team. He’ll also lead the strategy for platform scaling to support Prismatic’s ongoing customer growth and product innovation.

Burson will report directly to Prismatic CEO Michael Zuercher, who said, “Tanner is an exceptional engineering leader with proven experience scaling teams and a strong track record of driving innovation. We’re thrilled to have him on board to help us continue our strong, consistent growth.”

Prismatic’s Chief Software Architect Justin Hipple added, “Tanner is joining Prismatic at an exciting moment in our history. We’re enhancing the platform faster than ever with game-changing features like code-native integrations. Such a highly technical, dev-focused product requires a highly technical engineering leader with a passion for creating the very best developer experience possible. Tanner is exactly that person.”

This announcement continues Prismatic’s momentous start to 2024. The company raised $22 million in Series B funding, unveiled a new low-code integration designer experience and introduced a code-native integration building experience for developers. G2 named Prismatic the number one momentum leader in embedded integration platforms in its spring Momentum Grid®.
