DonorDrive Announces Conversion-Focused Enhancements

DonorDrive

DonorDrive, creator of an advanced enterprise digital fundraising solution, announced 20 major product enhancements designed to help nonprofit organizations increase revenue for individual giving campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, and other programs. The new enhancements include new donation workflows, Donation Recovery™ features, streamlined ticket event functionality, and more ways for fundraisers to engage on mobile.

These enhancements come at a critical time for fundraising organizations as the industry feels continued impact from higher interest rates, rising costs of goods, and reduction in personal disposable income. In 2023, individuals gave $374.4 billion, a 2.4% year-over-year decline when total dollars donated are adjusted for inflation, according to the Giving USA Foundation.

Increasing Conversion with Embedded Donation Forms

DonorDrive first introduced Embedded Donation Forms in 2023 to increase website conversion by creating a flexible donor experience that integrates directly into any third-party webpage. Building on the success of the feature, Embedded Donation Forms have a new giving experience optimized for conversion and deep brand configuration. Nonprofit staff can incorporate their organization’s brand colors and other elements, reinforce their mission with imagery and messaging, promote upgrading to monthly donations, automate corporate gift matching, and discover valuable insights about their donors including fund designation and tribute gift information.

Several nonprofit organizations have already seen higher revenue from DonorDrive’s Embedded Donation Forms. National Multiple Sclerosis Society replaced the primary donate button on their main website with DonorDrive’s Embedded Donation Form in February 2024, and after only 90 days, saw a 27.4% increase in revenue, 20% conversion rate (compared to the industry average of 16%, according to M+R Benchmarks), and a 65% increase in donors covering processing fees. “It’s a very elevated user experience. It looks clean and trustworthy, modern, and much more secure,” said Jessica Michels, Director, Technical Product Management at National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Streamlining Experiences for Fundraising Events

DonorDrive released additional functionality for its ticket event management, used by leading nonprofits to manage more than 1,600 events in 2023 and create impactful experiences for their supporters when hosting galas, golf tournaments, concerts, and other fundraising events. A new ticket purchase experience optimized for increased conversion and giving, guest checkout, donation appeals during the ticket purchase process, and integrated marketing automation, enable nonprofits to steward supporters with personalized messaging at scale.

Powering Mobile Engagement for Fundraising

The DonorDrive Charity Fundraising app empowers peer-to-peer fundraisers with quick and easy access to fundraising tools that are proven to increase average fundraising amounts. Specifically, fundraisers who use the DonorDrive mobile app when fundraising for nonprofits raise $621 more than DonorDrive fundraisers who have not downloaded the mobile app. In July 2024, DonorDrive released new mobile engagement features that help keep fundraising top of mind, including nonprofit-branded home screen widgets that enable fundraisers to track fundraising progress and share their personalized QR code for people to donate in-person. This new release also enables fundraisers to personalize their app experience with nonprofit-branded app icons, and quick actions which guide them to take the most important fundraising actions.

“As charitable giving continues to drop across the rest of the industry, nonprofits must have technology in place that can adapt quickly to the changing landscape and help future-proof their organizations,” said Kasey Cuppoletti, Senior Vice President, Product at DonorDrive. “We see trends in this industry come and go, but we prioritize engaging with our customer base on what they’re trying to achieve and innovate in ways that help them exceed those goals. We’re excited to help customers use new technologies in ways that make real, lasting impact through supporter experiences that build deeper personal connections.”
